Ace of the Blitz

...two awesome games in a day!

...I spent part of the afternoon at Atlantic Station for the AVP Atlanta Open volleyball tournament...I saw Mike Lambert (the "Hawaiian Curtain," pictured above) and Stein Metzger qualify for the finals (update: they're the Champs!!!), and I snagged some Atlanta 1996 Olympics memorabilia that I've been looking for for at least 10 years...and this was all before the FIFA World Cup Finals came on! ;)

...I just got back from Venice, and I still haven't unpacked all my souvenirs ;) Of course I wanted Portugal and Deutschland in the finals, but at least I got to see that match up on Saturday (for third place)...

...when I was abroad (and even in a few cases Stateside), so many people, and especially kids, thought I was a World Cup soccer player...awesome, huh?? ...now I'm an overnight sports fan and I want to start playing all the sports I didn't grow up around: soccer, tennis, fencing (I've taken a few classes), and maybe even volleyball...I may even try out for the Atlanta Silverbacks one day...can you tell I'm excited? ^_^ Being an athlete must be tons of work, but just think of all they traveling they do... . . .

...plenty has happened since Munich, nein?

...I'll add back issues of all my exploits (described as I would have at the time)...

Stay tuned!
