One of the strangest sentiments of travel is one day realizing that you're miles away from your normal life. A difference of a few hours doesn't seem like much, but the difference in custom, confrontation, and chance is immeasurable. Once you try to fathom just how far outside of your world you are, it can be overwhelming. It's the same feeling you get if you've ever been so far outside the city that you take time to star-gaze. Living around so much light and noise, you miss something that's right under (above ^_^) your nose every night. Leaving home sometimes gives you a chance to slow down briefly and take it all in. Just like star-gazing, travel puts your whole place on the mortal coil in perspective. You begin to understand how big the world outside of you really is.

You never knew there were so many stars in the sky.

Yours,
